Mézigue, also known as Mezmerlin the Enchanter, doesn’t have much of a story to tell. He creates an atmosphere with a distinctive flavor. If you like it, invite him; if not, don’t.
Simple as that. For this new year, Mézigue has produced a new album titled «Qui Existe,» an album «based on the simple fact of existence lol,» as he puts it.
Driven by a certain desire for wandering, he started production in his original D.KO Records studio at Villette 45 in Aubervilliers, as well as at Waveform Studio in Bordeaux and the legendary Motorbass studio in Paris, founded by the late Philippe Zdar. He invited various producers and engineers to collaborate on some tracks, including GGGG, Paul Cut, FSQ, Sans-Qui, and Louis Bes.
Through its 12 tracks, which alternate between instrumental and vocal pieces, the album «Qui Existe» aims, like Mézigue, to simply exist and find its place in the world amidst the myriad of human discourses in this realm.
