Bella Claxton is carving out her own space in the next wave of club music. Originally from Melbourne and now based in Amsterdam, she has spent the past two years building a reputation for sets that prioritise movement, pace, and long-form momentum. Her sound draws from progressive and hard house traditions, sitting alongside artists like Benwal, Sam Alfred, Dart, Paige Thomlinson and Kyle Starkey, while maintaining a clear identity built on driving basslines, extended grooves, and a locked-in sense of flow.
2026 marks a defining moment. Following the December launch of her imprint Cadence, a label dedicated to steps-per-minute, movement, and functional club design, Bella has set a clear direction for her sound and output. The label debuted with her double-tracker The Power, a release shaped by late-night dancefloor moments and small, accidental discoveries, including a field recording captured at Dekmantel Selectors that became the foundation of the title track. With a busy release schedule ahead, Cadence now operates as both a personal outlet and a platform for producers moving within her orbit.
The shift is deliberate. Her recent productions favour pressure over drama, continuity over interruption, and groove over spectacle. It reflects an artist increasingly confident in her instincts and focused on music that holds its weight across long stretches of the dancefloor.
As a DJ, Bella has become a consistent presence across Australia and Europe. Her 2025 and 2026 schedule includes Strawberry Fields, Lost Sundays, Lost Paradise, and the NYE midnight countdown at Beyond The Valley’s Dance Dome. She followed this with back-to-back (and immediately) sold-out headline shows at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre and Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory. This summer she returns to Europe for a run including Soenda, Tomorrowland Creamfields, Intercell, Modulair, Glitch, Terminal V and more, continuing her steady rise across the continent’s club and festival circuit.
Bella Claxton is entering her next chapter with clarity, restraint, and intent, focused less on spectacle and more on building something that lasts.
