Mad Rey is a Paris-based producer and DJ whose musical universe moves effortlessly between warm house, raw electronic textures, and influences drawn from the international club scene.
First emerging through the D.Ko Records collective and label—one of the driving forces behind the French house revival of the 2010s—he quickly developed a distinctive sound, blending analog grooves, evocative melodies, and deep dancefloor energy. His acclaimed releases on D.Ko, followed by projects with labels such as Red Lebanese (which he co-founded in 2012) and Ed Banger Records (alongside French rapper Jwles), reflect a singular artistic path at the crossroads of France's most influential underground and electronic scenes.
Constantly evolving, Mad Rey is now entering a new chapter. A vinyl-only EP on Yoyaku marks a more club-driven and percussive direction, while a new body of work inspired by tech house reveals a sharper, more direct sound built for powerful sound systems and late-night dancefloors. He is also currently preparing his debut collaborative EP with French-American singer and producer Blasé.
Driven by curiosity and an uncompromising artistic vision, Mad Rey continues to refine a distinctive musical identity, balancing meticulous production, instinctive DJing, and a constant desire for reinvention.
